Successful fulfillment of 50 pledges under 100-day roadmap

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced the accomplishment of 50 pledges included in the commitments made for the first 100 days of the administration.

Delivering the presidential address in Parliament today, President Dr. Muizzu said a comprehensive 100-day roadmap had been formulated to address various challenges in the Maldives, taking into consideration the sentiments and aspirations of the people. The roadmap outlines the promises to be fulfilled on the first day of government, within four weeks, within nine weeks, and within 14 weeks of administration. A total of 161 pledges are listed under the roadmap.

While 11 weeks have now passed, President Dr. Muizzu said of these 161 pledges, 7 pledges were fulfilled on the first day of administration. While 17 pledges were realized within the first four weeks, 26 pledges were fulfilled within the first nine weeks.

President Dr. Muizzu further said that 78 percent of the pledges scheduled to be fulfilled before the end of the 14 weeks have already been entirely fulfilled. The remaining pledges will be fulfilled 100 percent before the end of the 14 weeks, he assured.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the Cabinet, the employees in various political and civil service positions in the government, the state institutions, and all the citizens of the Maldives who are working tirelessly to fulfill these promises,” he said.

The President added that the government was working with technical experts to develop a comprehensive five-year strategic action plan to fulfill all remaining commitments. He acknowledged the support of the UNDP in this endeavor.
