The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a white alert for the areas between Kaafu Atoll and Addu City, effective from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm today.
The Met Office is forecasting thundershowers and heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours. The weather service anticipates wind speeds ranging from 13 to 23 mph in the north and northeast, with gusts up to 40 mph expected during showers. Seas are expected to be rough with wave heights between four and seven feet.
Seafarers are advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant.
