Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla has announced that all questions submitted by MPs to cabinet ministers have been addressed as the current Parliament session approaches its close.
The current parliament session, which was originally scheduled to conclude on August 15, will now end on August 26 after the parliament approved an extension to complete important pending works. In previous sessions, some questions submitted for cabinet ministers remained unanswered by the session's end, but this time, all inquiries have been resolved.
At Wednesday's parliament session, Kendhoo MP Mauroof Zakir questioned Sports Minister Dr. Abdulla Rafiu. Once the time allotted for questioning ended, Speaker Abdul Raheem confirmed that with the conclusion of Minister Rafiu's questioning, all questions submitted by MPs to cabinet ministers for the current session had been asked and answered.
“There are no further questions pending to be asked to ministers at this time,” he said.
