Saud replaces Ziyad as MTCC's CEO

Former Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Saud has been appointed as the new CEO and Managing Director of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

Saud replaces Abdulla Ziyad, who had held the position since President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu took office. Ziyad has now been reassigned as a State Minister at the Environment Ministry.

Before his appointment, Saud was the Community Engagement Unit of the Male' City Council, a role he assumed when President Dr. Muizzu was the Mayor of Male' City. Saud also briefly served as Acting Commissioner of Police during President Abdulla Yameen's administration. However, he held the Deputy Minister position at the Youth Ministry toward the end of that administration.
