Gaafu Dhaalu Hoandeddhoo Council has opened Kannigilaa island for lease, for agricultural work.
According to the council, the 430,000-square-foot island is open for use in agriculture, livestock breeding, and mariculture. The opportunity is open for both local and foreign investors.
Interested parties are required to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOIs) by November 10. The deadline for formal bid submissions is set for November 21.
The project's aim is to promote agriculture and economic development in the area.
