The suspension imposed on the Housing Development Corporation (HDC)’s board has been lifted.
The Privatisation and Corporotisation Board (PBC) suspended the entire HDC board with the exception of its Chairman on December 19, following the emergence of a corruption involving unauthorized allocation of land outside the Binveriyaa Scheme.
Amid investigation into the case, Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed, who was the Managing Director of HDC, stepped down from his post on December 21. The following day, former minister Mauroof Jameel was appointed to the post.
The PCB today said with Mauroof Jameel’s appointment as Managing Director, the suspension on the board has been lifted.
