Former Registrar of Companies Mariyam Visam has been appointed as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCF) of the First National Corporation.
The First National Corporation is private fund management and advisory services company. The company’s board decided to appoint Visam as its CCF on Sunday.
According to First National, Visam's main responsibilities will be to formulate and develop the company's business policies and oversee product development, sales and marketing.
Visaam was appointed Registrar of Companies on January 28, 2014 by former President Abdullah Yameen. She resigned from the post on March 1 this year after 11 years in the post.
Visam holds a Masters degree in Business Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from the University of Northumbria, UK.
Visam has previously served as Director General of the Capital Market Development Authority. She is also a board member of the Maldives International Financial Services Authority.
