Fisheries Minister Dr. Mohamed Shainee has strongly criticized former President Maumoon Abdul Qayooom, stating that "30 years is enough."
His statements came in a tweet posted after the former President announced a reform agenda for PPM. In his tweet, Dr. Shainee said that the Party has to "give space for new leadership".
Stating that President Yameen had brought in unprecedented development in just under three years, Dr. Shainee said that "30 years is enough". The former President was tagged in the tweet for good measure.
The reform agenda had attracted praise and criticism in equal measure. In his address, the former President said that the reform agenda was announced to address the issues within the Party, run the Party according to the Party laws and mandate and instill democratic values in the Party.
