PPM has stated that Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer was recovering following emergency treatment in Sri Lanka for chest pains.
An official of the Party said that when he was taken to Sri Lanka, doctors ran tests on him that showed that two of the main blood vessels were severely blocked. The official said the procedure carried out was quite successful and that the Minister will soon be released.
The Minister was in Sri Lanka's Bandaranayake International Airport when he complained of chest pains. Minister Zameer smokes occasionally.
PPM PG Leader Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik and PPM Vice President Abdu Raheem Abdullah had previously sought out medical treatment for chest pains as well.
