"Haadharu" the first cinematic work carried out by Maldives National Defense Force, will be released on July 16. The first trailer was released about two months ago and was acclaimed for the difference seen on the screen. Last night the second trailer of the movie was launched.
In the ceremony held last night in Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi, the trailer was launched by writer Binmaa Ibrahim Waheed. The story is based on an idea of Chief of Defense Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam. A special countdown was launched by Broadcasting Commission's President Mohamed Shaheeb.
Based on the incidents of November 3, 1988, Haadharu is a cinematic experience to show the mandate of the armed forces in protecting the independence and sovereignty of the nation.
The movie was made with funds and proceeds from well wishers; agreements with these parties were signed last night as well. A video song of the movie, "Konme Hindheiga" was launched last night.
A special screening of the movie will be shown on July 21 in Schwack Cinema in addition to screenings in Olympus.
The movie was shot in Laamu Atoll and directed by Ash'har Waheed. The movie was shot in four months and the set constructed for the movie was the largest in the country.
Haadharu tickets go on sale at MVR 100 and will be sold from Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi, Bandaara Koshi, Olympus and Sifco Mart.
