Maldives Police Service (MPS) has begun proceedings to summon former Foreign Minister Mohamed Naseem to Police as part of an ongoing investigation.
Police media official said that they had already dispatched the summons to Naseem but had not been able to handover the summons as he was presently not in the Maldives. No details of the case were given.
Members of the opposition led Maldives United Opposition had been summoned to Police. The three members summoned are members of the shadow cabinet. Additionally, Parliament Members Ali Hussain and Ali Nizar had also been summoned to Police.
