PINK: trailer out, expectations high

The trailer for PINK debuted last week and opens with Bollywood mega star Amithab Bahchan in a court session, posing the question “are you a virgin, Miss Arora?”.

The movie highlights on what sexual assault victims have to deal with in proving their cases both in India and many other nations. The two-and-half-minute trailer is loaded with suspense and is fast-paced and intense. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a senior lawyer. Big B as always has a very powerful presence on screen which keeps us glued to our seats. Going incognito, he tries to investigate the matter which seems quite complicated.

Pink’s trailer reflects on the dubious morals of today’s times and it has definitely left us intrigued with its powerful storyline and Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury directorial seems very exciting.

Actresses Tapsee Pannu, along with two friends, played by Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Taring is being tried in the court for an attempt to murder case and defaming some men. The fact that the men may have sexually assaulted them is comfortably brushed aside. The trio seem to be trapped in the vicious circle of crime and constantly being threatened by their assailants.

The movie comes from the makers of Piku, Madras Cafe and Vicky Donor presents a stunning and a gripping story, teasing just enough.

The movie is slated for a September 16 release.
