HIH wins gold in this year's Culinary Challenge

  • Nashee Cakes rakes in most medals for cake decoration

Hulhule' Island Hotel has claimed gold in this year's International Culinary Challenge at the Food and Hospitality Maldives (FHAM).

HIH won the Best Culinary Organization award in the Challenge held last month in Dharubaaruge.

Around 500 contested in the Challenge, with W Retreat and Spa Maldives' JD Sujeep Parimalal claiming the Best Chef award. Four Seasons Resort's Mohamed Adil was chosen as the Best Maldivian Chef.

Nashee Cale's Siddeeq Ibrahim won the Gold Plus D for cake structure category. Nashee Cake's Mariyam Shafeeqa also won gold in the category.

One and Only Reethi Rah's MV Rasika and HIH's Sisira Kumar and Thulhaagiri Island's Vidhana won gold in Fruit and Vegetable Carving category. Aksiya Rana of Jumeirah Vittaveli won gold in dessert decoration.
