"Government does not rely on Gayyoom's support" Muaz

The Spokesperson for the President's Office Ibrahim Muaz has said that the government does not rely on any one individual's support and will not be controlled by any one person's demands.

In a tweet Muaz sent out regarding former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom saying that he has taken back the endorsement and support he once gave the government and President Yameen, Muaz wrote that the government is not trying to please a particular person. He also said in the tweet that just because a certain person takes back their support of the government and is making false allegations due to not having their demands met does not mean that the government has lost its principles.

"This government will always run with the development of the country and it's people as the highest priority," Muaz said in his tweet.

He wrote that no one person should think that the government will follow their demands and that the current government is not working for the profit of one particular person. Muaz has said that the government runs on the support of the people and that one person taking their support away will not cast a single shadow over the development the government has brought to this country.
