State run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) Wednesday joined in the prohibition of energy drinks, and shops related to and inside the premises of the hospital will discontinue the sale of energy drinks with the start of the new year.
IGMH has advised the shops inside the hospital premises to sell drinks that are healthy and good for the patients.
IGMH has called the public to join in on the efforts against energy drinks.
The move comes after the education ministry this week banned the sale and promotion of energy drinks from schools throughout the archipelago.
