Jamiyyathu Salaf to hold journalism courses

Local religious organization Jamiyyathu Salaf has announced a new course on journalism, and opened for applications.

This course will be held from the first of next month to the 16th. The classes of the course are set to be held every night from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Salaf said that the lecturers during this course will be noted journalists from the Maldives, with the former Editor of Haveeru Online, Mohamed Shaheeb, Haveeru Editor Moosa Latheef as well as former Haveeru Managing Editor and current Chief Editor at Sun, Hiriga Ahmed Zaheer, Former Haveeru journalist and current Chief Editor of Avas Mundoo Adam Haleem, Editor of Mihaaru Ismail Naseer, former Haveeru journalist Hoarafushi Mohamed Saleem, Director General of News and Current Affairs of Vmedia, Imad Latheef all being part of the course.

All lecturers of the course have won the national award for journalism in the Maldives.

A fee of 2,500 will collected from all members of the course, which will teach the very basics of journalism.
