The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has gifted four electric wheelchairs to four children with disabilities from Haa Alif Atoll Ihavandhoo island.
The wheelchairs were gifted during a ceremony held to award certificates to those who graduated the Multimedia and Web Designing Course held by MNDF. The wheelchairs were handed over to the children by the Chief of Defence Force, Ahmed Shiyam. First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim was also in attendance at the ceremony.
Two of the four children were also given employment in managing the military website. All four children had successfully graduated the course MNDF had run in Ihavandhoo island.
