The government has established a company named Business Center Company Limited (BCCL) under the resolutions of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
BCCL was established as a center to operate and expand the small businesses in Maldives.
The government holds all five million shares of the company. Each share is valued MVR10 which concludes the company's capital at MVR50 million.
The president had announced the resolution to establish the new company on Monday.
