Maldives Vogue Model's phone unveils crucial information about her death

Maldivian medical student and vogue model, Raudha Athif, who was found dead at her college dormitory in a suspected suicide had heated arguments with her boyfriend the night before her death, the Bangladeshi authorities have revealed.

Daily Star of Bangladesh quoted an official from The Detective Branch (DB) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police who revealed that Raudha had a long conversation with her boyfriend on the night of March 28 which indicated that she was very angry and frustrated.

Chief Superintendent Mohamed Riyaz of the Maldivian police stated that the data on the mobile phone will be of great help to the investigation, adding that details of the data will be disclosed by the Bangladesh Police in due time.

Raudha's father maintains that there was nothing suspicious about the conversation, and insists that she was strong and capable enough to hold her nerves.

The 20 year old was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her dorm room in the morning on March 29.

College authorities have informed that there are four more Maldivian students, including three females, currently attending the medical college. When questioned by Riyaz, the students corroborated that they were comfortable with safety and security measures.

DB of Rajshahi will send the laptop and mobile phone of Raudha Athif to the CID's IT forensic laboratory in Dhaka to find out if the devices hold a clues about her suicide.

The two-member Maldivian police investigation team left Rajshahi for Dhaka yesterday to follow up on the investigation.
