A local man in critical condition after an accident in Gaafu Alif Atoll Villingili island is to be airlifted to the capital Malé for treatment, hospital officials said Thursday.
Villingili hospital acting chief Fathimath Nashtha told Avas that the accident had occurred around 11:00 pm on Wednesday. She said that all four injured in the accident were brought to the hospital, out of which two were in critical condition.
Nashtha also added that the hospital was trying to send one of the critical patients to the capital.
Police confirmed that both motorcycles had been speeding when the accident occurred.
