Police on Sunday, revealed that two minors were stabbed during a fresh spate of gang violence in the capital Male on Saturday evening.
Police spokesperson said that the 16 year old was stabbed in the back and the 17 year old was stabbed in the side of his abdomen, adding that the police are currently investigating into the case.
No arrests have been made in connection to the case yet.
Police, however, conducted an operation in two of the gang territories in the capital.
The stabbings was reportedly in retaliation to another assualt where a young man was hit on the head with a block of wood. Police are also investigating into the matter.
The two injured minors were treated at Senahiya and are reportedly recovering.
