Maldivian partners with IGMH

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on Thursday, signed with Maldives flag carrier 'Maldivian' in efforts to improve healthcare and introduce medical travel packages.

The signing ceremony took place between IGMH CEO Faruhath Shahuree and managing director of Maldivian airline Abdul Haris at the hospital.

Speaking at the ceremony, CEO Faruhath had stated that the partnership will be beneficial for the patients and staff of the hospital.

Haris also spoke during the ceremony and stated that a 'Maldivian Holidays' counter will be established at IGMH, where patients and staff can book tickets without hassle. He added that the partnership will allow pregnant women to get their doctor’s confirmation for medical clearance without hindrance.

Managing director Haris also noted that the airline transports an average of six people with medical conditions everyday with the five scheduled flights the airline runs to nine airports in the Maldives.

Maldivian airlines currently travels to three states in India, Bangkok in Thailand, Dhaka in Bangladesh and six cities of China.
