The Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif will make an official visit to the Maldives on invitation of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
The prime minister will participate as the chief guest in the celebrations of the 52nd Independence Day of the Maldives on July 26.
During the two day visit, the leaders are expected to hold official talks and sign agreements for cooperation in various fields of the two countries.
Sharif had been invited for the last two independence day celebrations, but cancelled his visit in 2015 due to flooding in Pakistan, and then again in 2016 due to his heart surgery.
