Criminal Court on Monday, scheduled the sentencing hearing of opposition aligned Rajje TV COO and journalist Hussain Fiyaz Moosa for Thursday.
Fiyaz had raised a strong defence during the proceedings on Monday, with the witness testimonies of seven different journalists.
Fiyaz has been charged for assaulting and obstructing the duty of a police officer during an operation carried out after an IED was discovered by the presidential palace.
Two other journalists and a cameraman of Raajje TV were fined for similar charges as well.
