Kuwait has extended financial assistance of USD 200,000 to the Maldives for construction of the two storey education centre in Faafu atoll.
Kuwait embassy in Sri Lanka had issued a statement revealing that the government of Kuwait has decided to extend financial assistance to the Maldives in hopes of promoting the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
Kuwait ambassador to the Maldives Khalaf Bu Dhhair commented stating that the state of Kuwait as well as the Kuwait Fund is playing a great role in providing assistance to the Maldives, adding that the Kuwait government is willing to assist the people of Maldives in various way in the near future.
Kuwait Funds is currently aiding some major projects in the Maldives.
