At the ceremony held on Tuesday, HRCM chair Aminath Eenash had signed the resolution on behalf of the commission. MPL CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, Aasandha company managing director Hassan Ali and MACL managing director Adil Moosa signed the resolution on behalf of their respective firms. The resolution was signed to encourage all affairs of the firms were carried out in a manner that would respect human rights.

HRCM stated that the resolution was established to create awareness among the society and promote human rights.

The resolution also encourages the firms to take part in the commission’s “human rights pledge” to promote human rights and create media awareness on human rights linked to business activity.

The signing on the resolution goes under HRCM’s business and human rights strategies implemented last year.
