Superstar Amitabh Bachchan to visit Maldives for WHO meeting

Legendary actor of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan who is also the Goodwil Ambassador of World Health Organization (WHO) is expected to visit Maldives to participate in a meeting hosted by the organization.

Superstar Bachchan had previously visited Maldives on a similar occasion as well.

Bachchan is scheduled to deliver a speech on Hepatitis during the 70th East Asia conference hosted by WHO at Maldives. While the conference will kick-off at Paradise Island Resort next month, the exact arrival date of Bachchan is yet to be confirmed.

The conference this year will mainly focus on the various effects of climate change as well as the health parameters and cautionary steps or preventive measures regarding such climatic change. In addition to this, discussions about the current health system and necessary amendments on it in future will be deliberated as well.

While a total of 11 nations are expected to participate in the conference, leaders of WHO as well as officials from South East Asia's regional office would join in the discussion.
