Professor Hassain Ugail has not been prohibited from lecturing at Maldivian academic institutes according to Education Ministry.
The ministry had made the statement amid loud concerns by various locals over the apparent disbarring of Professor Ugail from lecturing at Maldivian institutes.
Earlier on Tuesday several local media reported that the PhD holder in Mathematics was slammed with the restriction for reasons undisclosed.
However the Permanent Secretary of Education Ministry, Mohamed Saeed had confirmed that no official statement has been made nor was Professor Ugail restricted from providing lecture sessions in Maldives.
