Tree Top Hospital opens doors for service

The much awaited medical institute, Tree Top Hospital opens officially at the satellite town of Hulhumale' on Thursday.

Owned by Casa Holdings, Champa Brothers and Kurehdhoo Holdings the state-of-the-art hospital has been much anticipated for its promise of introducing a vast array of services in the developing sister-town of Male'.

Built on a project value of USD 90 million, the Tree Top Hospital is 210-bed space tertiary health facility, marking it the first 'ultra-modern' hospital built in Maldives by a private corporation.

Tree Top Hospital will be noted as the first medical institute in Maldives to provide services in open-heart surgery with doctors recruited from more than 35 countries across the globe including US, UK, Germany and India among others.

The hospital employs 40 multi-specialist doctors with 100 nurses with the doctor roster expected to reach 80 within the new few days. The institute employs a total of 403 staff in various departments.

While the hospital has been officially opened for service, appointments can be made through the institute's clinic at capital Male'.

Standard appointment prices reach MVR 750, however a 30% discount is subjected to locals with appointment prices coming down to MVR 525.
