Gasim's verbal jab at President, parliament Speaker

Jumhoory Party leader Gasim Ibrahim had vividly lambasted incumbent president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and parliament Speaker Abdulla Maseeh with a verbal jab, calling them "lost their mind."

His criticism was directed towards the newest bill presented to parliament on Wednesday by Fonadhoo MP Abdul Raheem Abdulla - a vocal critic against the JP leader - proposing amendment to the judicature act.

Gasim, a renowned business tycoon also holds the parliament chair to Maamigili constituency, who had been living in a self claimed exile in Germany after initially traveling to Singapore for medical attention post his conviction and followed-up jailing.

The JP leader claimed both president and parliament speaker had "lost their mind" in a tweet made moments after the parliament sitting concluded - which had the aforementioned bill presented to its floor on Wednesday.

In his agrument, the Maamigili MP claimed that amendments to acts cannot be implemented on events that preceded. Gasim had noted that no action will be taken against the judges who have been "kidnapped" by the state.
