Maldives Meteorological Center (MET) has cautioned off about a developing storm at the south-west Bay of Bengal while the Tamil Nadu is expected to get affected.
In an advisory released on Sunday the meteorological watchdog had warned the building storm at the south to neighboring Sri Lanka is expected to move west within the next 48 hours.
Maldives is expected to experience the brunt of the storm as heavy rainfall associated with thunder and lightning.
Additionally the meteorological center has stated that it expects the gust to pick-up speed and seas are expected to become rough as well.
MET Office had in its advisory recommended seafarers and vessels to be cautious about expected worsening of the weather conditions in next few days.
