Maldives parliament that resumed on Monday after months long hiatus concluded well under six minutes.
Monday's sitting for parliamentarians had amendments to various bills related to local elections tabled for hearing.
The default on three separate bills were on agenda which included Progressive Party of Maldives' (PPM) parliamentary group leader Ahmed Nihan proposed amendment to presidential election bill.
Another amendment was proposed to the same bill by government affiliated Fares-Maathoda MP Hussain Mohamed Latheef, which had its default hearing on Monday as well.
Holhudhoo MP Ali Mohamed proposed amendments to the general regulation of local elections was read during Monday's session as the third item on agenda.
Parliament Speaker Abdulla Maseeh did not grant deliberating window for lawmakers to detail out the proposed amendments on bills in Monday's parliament proceedings.
Furthermore president Abdulla Yameen nominated candidate as non-resident ambassador of Russian Federation; Mohamed Hussain Shareef, had his name forwarded to national security committee for assessment.
