Foreign Min flies for Turk pres Erdogen's inauguration

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim on Sunday evening has flown to Turkey to attend president Recep Tayyip Erdogen's swearing-in ceremony.

Foreign Minister Dr. Asim has flown to attend the ceremony on behalf of president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at late afternoon on Monday while the event will be attended by a total of 22 presidents and 17 prime ministers from various parts of the world.

Erdogen's Justice and Development Party's coalition managed a landslide victory in the country's most recently held referendum and presidential polls.
