Jumhooree Party's deputy leader Abdulla Ameen has announced to contest for running-mate candidacy.
Ameen managed to grab the most number of votes as the party's deputy leader during Jumhooree Party's last held congress.
While JP has announced to submit names for contesting in the running-mate race, Ameen is the first contender to announce his candidacy.
The Gasim Ibrahim founded party will be nominating its running-mate on July 13 through a ballot at its council meeting.
