Maldives governor stated he hopes the island nation will thrive towards a more digital payment platform instead of opting to use cash for transactions.
Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) compiled 'MMA Strategic Plan' was officially launched on Sunday by Finance Minister Ahmed Munavvar and Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer.
Speaking at the ceremony, Maldives governor Ahmed Naseer had hoped for the island nation to progress towards digital payment methods. He added the technological advancement and proper utilization of it will benefit in bringing digital payment methods to Maldives.
Naseer also urged cooperation of all government entities in achieving or realizing the goals set in MMA's strategic plan for 2022.
