Maldives' electoral watchdog on Sunday vowed to verify voter re-registration forms after mounting concerns.
Elections Commission in a Tweet on Sunday admitted that it had received multiple complaints over fraudulent re-registration forms to vote in the upcoming presidential elections.
EC assured the public that all re-registration forms would be verified and urged the public to be wary of reported efforts to submit fake forms.
Voters would need to re-register if they wish to cast their ballots outside their native constituency.
Re-registration for presidential polls was opened on July 17 and will last until August 11.
