Maldives meteorological center warns bad weather for five days

Maldives Meteorological Center (MET Office) on Monday has warned the island nation will be experiencing stormy weather for the next five days; cautioning the country's public.

The weather monitoring office reported the island nation was experiencing it's seasonal west-hemisphere monsoon, adding rain and wind-speeds were expected to pick up in the following days.

The meteorological center forecast the seas will be getting rough as well, and has cautioned the public while traveling on sea.

The weather hub projects wind speed will pick up to 18 miles per hour from north-northeast for northern atolls. Other areas of the country will experience wind speeds between 15 to 25 miles per hour from west-southwest.
