Maldives warns sea-swells in central, southern Atolls

Maldives meteorology department on Sunday warned that some parts of the archipelago could experience sea-swells during high tide.

The department in a statement said weather across the country is expected to be generally fine with relatively calm seas.

Despite decent weather, some parts of the country especially islands in the central and southern Atolls could experience sea-swells during high tide, the statement said urging public caution.

The warning comes after some islands had reported sea-swells on Saturday evening.
