Permanent Secretaries have been appointed to Fisheries Ministry and Technology Ministry.
Dr. Aminath Shafia, who has been the acting-PS of the Fisheries Ministry, was appointed as the official Permanent Secretary on Tuesday. Dr. Shafia holds a doctorate in Plant Sciences and double Masters in Environment Biology and Agriculture. She has served the government for 28 consecutive years, holding senior posts at the Fisheries Ministry for the last 13 years.
Mohamed Shareef, who was employed at the National Center for Information Technology for nine years, was appointed as the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Technology. Shareef, who holds a Masters degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with Management, has previously filled the position of Rector at Cyryx College.
