Health Ministry has stated that the government will begin an initiative within the year to upgrade the laboratory and facilities available at Eydhafushi Hospital of Baa atoll.
Speaking at a training program on Monday, Health Minister Abdulla Ameen said that the government will make arrangements to facilitate the necessary medical services to the people even if there are budgetary constraints.
The upgade will benefit not only the people of Eydhafushi island, but also all visitors and residents of nearby islands, said the Minister.
