Newly appointed Indian ambassador presents credentials

Newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Maldives, Sunjay Sudhir has presented his credentials to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

At the ceremony held at the President's Office on Tuesday, the Maldivian president congratulated the new ambassador on him appointment and discussed ways to strengthen the age-old bilateral relations between Maldives and India.

The President also noted that the Maldives has always held India in high regard, and stressed the importance of both countries working together in the international and regional arena.

The President further conveyed his felicitation and and well wishes to the government and people of India.

While speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Sudhir assured that India had similar sentiments about Maldives. He also expressed interest in working together on areas of mutual interest.
