The United Kingdom has commended the Maldivian government's efforts to strengthen global ties.
In a statement given by the UK at the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Kingdom acknowledged and praised the work undertaken by the Maldivian government following the 2018 presidential election to promote bilateral relations and establish democracy in the Maldives.
The UK called on the Maldives to utilize the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCRH) and the framework on human rights in their statement.
