Environment Minister Dr Hussain Rasheed Hassan has participated in the high level meeting on "Climate And Sustainable Development For All" as a representative of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The meeting held in New York, USA is organized following a mandate from the UN General Assembly. It is focused on 'Protection of the Global Climate for Present & Future Generations of Humankind in the Context of the Economic, Social and Environmental Dimensions of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development'.
Addressing at the meeting, Minister Hussain noted the priority given by the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on climate change issues, and stressed that the Maldives is ready to take all necessary steps in addressing challenges faced due to climate change.
