Human remains have been discovered in Hankede island of southernmost Addu city.
Police were called to the site at about 3:45pm on Saturday after the discovery in the uninhabited island. The bones were discovered buried in an area that was used for burying the dead a long time ago. It is likely that the bones are very old.
The police are investigating the case.
