An oil tanker that grounded at the eastern reef of Kaashidhoo island has been re-floated.
The 100-ft vessel ‘Maatholhi’ of State Trading Organization's subsidiary company, Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) ran aground last Thursday while carrying 27,000 liters of petrol and 180,000 liters of diesel.
MNDF revealed that the boat was re-floated on Saturday morning, and confirmed that no oil spills or other damages were caused during the re-floating process,
Six Maldivians were onboard the vessel at the time of the incident. None of the crew members suffered any injuries in the incident.
