Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has intervened in the lawsuit filed against the presidential Commission on Asset Recovery filed by Bank of Maldives.

The case was filed at the Civil Court by Bank of Maldives (BML) seeking a ruling on how to proceed with the Asset Recovery Commission's order to disseminate information on two accounts at the bank.

ACC was asked to present themselves at a dispute resolution hearing held on Thursday afternoon.

During Tuesday's meeting of the parliament's Public Finance Committee, Bank of Maldives revealed that the Asset Recovery Commission was seeking information on two accounts at the bank. However, they did not reveal to which case the request was linked to.

BML stated that there are some obstructions to sharing account information due to a High Court order. Therefore, the bank is seeking a legal solution to the issue, they said.
