Ibrahim Shakeel has been appointed as a member of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
A ceremony was held at the President's Office on Sunday to present the letter of appointment to Shakeel.
Shakeel most recently served as Internal Auditor at the Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun Plc ( Dhiraagu). He has also worked as an Officer in Charge at the Financial Intelligence Unit of Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). Mr Shakeel attained his Post Graduate Certificate in Computer Science at the Asia Pacific Institute for Information Technology, in Sri Lanka.
Prior to being presented the letter of appointment, Mr Shakeel took the oath of membership of ACC. The oath was administered by Supreme Court Judge Hon. Uz. Abdulla Areef.
