A man arrested in a drug case has been re-arrested after he fled authorities while in detention.
The 39-year old man was found by the police at his place of residence.
The man was initially arrested over a drug case in Meemu Atoll, Kolhufushi on Monday. While he fled authorities the following day, the police revealed that he was re-captured at his home on Tuesday evening.
It has been reported the man is the President of the Kolhufushi island council.
