Let's Go Maldives has received the highest, most exclusive award in the tourism industry - "Seven Star Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle".
Let's Go Maldives was presented with the award for the best tour operator in the Indian Ocean region. The owner of the company, Mohamed Riyaz received the award at the awarding ceremony held in Athens, Greece on Saturday.
The award was given after considering their services to high profile visitors. They have accommodated several global celebrities, including Mark Anthony and Ricky Martin.
Riyaz said he was overjoyed to have received the award.
"There are a number of large-scale tour operators in this region. To win an award of this stature against the tight competition is a great accomplishment. This proves that provided with the opportunities, Maldivians can bring a good name to our country", Riyaz said.
He further noted that he hoped for a day where Maldivian Travel Companies get more opportunities.
"Maldivian travel companies face a lot of limitations. We are working with the government to make regulations to solve this. We hope to finish this soon, so that Maldivians get more opportunities, and get more awards, bringing a good name to our country", Riyaz said.
