Maldives Meteorological Center (MET Office) has warned that the country will experience rainy weather from Saturday through Monday.
Speaking to AVAS, an official at the center revealed that rainfall is expected across the country for the next 24 hours. Winds will vary between 05 - 15 miles per hour while seas would be moderate during showers.
The official said the current rainfall marked the end of the wet monsoon, and the beginning of dry onsoon. While the country is predicted to experience heavy showers over the next two days, weather is expected to improve slightly in the days that follow. Sea swells are not expected as a result of the heavy rain, said the official.
